9.1.2010 -  Remembering Robbie

What fun we had at Crosswinds on Saturday! Hospice Savannah had two teams in the annual Robbie Smith Golf Outing. Many thanks to Robbie’s friends and family for organizing a great day to benefit Hospice Savannah.

Robbie was a vibrant, fun-loving young man who was under our care for 15 months before dying in 1992 at the age of 27. It was particularly touching to me  to attend the golf outing in the company of Ms Wilma Rhodan (right), one of our loving and caring Certified Nursing Assistants. Wilma remembers taking care of Robbie during his stay in Hospice House.

We truly appreciate the Smith family’s dedication. If you are interested in holding an event or fundraiser on our behalf, I encourage you to contact me or Megan Kerley, VP of our Hospice Savannah Foundation.

As always, I look forward to hearing from you in response to any of the blog topics or if you have questions, concerns, or need information about hospice care.  Please contact me at dlarson@hospicesavannahhelps.org .
