Hospice Savannah Art Gallery Showcases "Botanical Impressions"

Hospice Savannah will showcase a new body of photographs by local physician and acclaimed photographer, Michael D. Weinman May 1 - June 29 at the Hospice Savannah Art Gallery, located at Hospice House, 1352 Eisenhower Drive. You can meet the artist at the opening reception, Thursday, May 11 from 5:30 - 7:30 at the gallery.
Michael Weinman's photography career began when he built a basement darkroom in his Long Island home as a 15 year-old. He had his first show at the University of Michigan Gallery following a 6-month stay in India sponsored by the Department of Anthropology.
After a 2 year try at establishing a photography career in New York City, Weinman earned his MD at NYU and completed an internal medicine residency at Columbia and a gastroenterology fellowship at Harvard. He joined his Savannah practice in 1988.
Weinman's camera has continued to accompany him on his world travels throughout his medical career. He enjoys devising ever more innovative ways to create digital images, changing the color or tone or inserting another image. This current show features a new body of manipulated work focusing on botanicals.

Hospice Savannah Art Gallery Showcases Paintings by Robert Isley
March 1 - Hospice Savannah will showcase pastels and oils by acclaimed Savannah painter, Robert Isley, March 2 - April 30 at the Hospice Savannah Art Gallery, located at Hospice House, 1352 Eisenhower Drive. You can meet the artist at the opening reception, Thursday, March 9 from 5:30 - 7:30 at the gallery.
Robert Isley's interpretative plein aire paintings capture everyday snapshots of life and scenery in Savannah. He was named one of the Five artists to collect in 2002 by Coastal Antiques and Art, and earned the prestigious "Best of Show" in the 2001 Telfair Art Fair. Robert holds a BFA in painting from Atlanta College of Art; his "journals" of everyday life in the Lowcountry have become increasingly popular among Savannah art collectors who seek out his work at Friedman's Fine Art and The Dolphin and Mermaid.

Showcases work by Local Physicians and Healthcare Professionals
Art work by local physicians and healthcare professionals will hang in the Hospice Savannah Art Gallery November 1-December 31. Meet many of the artist at the opening reception Thursday, November 10, 2005 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The gallery is located at 1352 Eisenhower Dr.
The works will include a mixture of oils, watercolors and photography.
Some of the featured artist for the show are: Chip Goldsmith, MD, Bill Zorn, MD Roberta Smith, MD; Ronald Fagin, MD; Robert Trenkamp; Michael Weinman, MD; Carrie Kellogg, Charmaine West, Judith Kessler, Thomas Yeh, MD; Beth Logan, and Carolyn Neely.
