Not all hospices are the same! With over a dozen hospices in our community, we encourage families to do their research and choose the best!

The Joint Commission is the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. it conducted an on-site evaluation of Hospice Savannah in April. We are proud to have again earned their prestigious Gold Seal of Approval® by demonstrating compliance with their national standards for health care quality and safety,  We are the only hospice in the Coastal Empire to be awarded this indicator of excellence in standards of care specific to the needs of patients, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.

.“It is my hope that physicians and other medical professionals realize that not all hospices are the same…If families want the best, they must insist on Hospice Savannah’s care,” says Debra Anthony Larson, President and CEO.  “Attaining certification is a voluntary process that demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest level of care. It shows we are making a significant investment in quality on a day-to-day basis from the top down.”

Hospice Savannah has been accredited by the Joint Commission since 1998. Please take the time to view the Quality Measures page of our site that shows all the ways we measure our quality in order to be the best choice for our community.
