Making a Donation
Donations of gently loved household items, clothing, books or furniture are welcomed! Drop off your items at the store during business hours or at Hospice Savannah’s administrative offices, located at 1674 Chatham Parkway, Monday through Friday. If more convenient, donations can also be dropped at Hospice House at 1352 Eisenhower Drive in Savannah on Thursday mornings between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Please call the Foundation at 629.1055 for more information if needed. Unfortunately, we cannot pick up items at this time.
We happily accept items that are clean and in good repair but cannot accept furniture in poor condition; weapons or ammunition; floor model organs or pianos; safety helmets; medical equipment and medications; oxygen tanks; machinery that uses gas; hazardous chemicals, paint, solvents or cleaners; tube-type TV’s; mattresses, box springs and bed frames if not part of a set; large appliances; items needing repair or items on the Consumer Product Safety Recall list.
Becoming a Thrift Shoppe volunteer
Please click here to complete a short on-line application and our store manager, Bonnie Starr, will be in contact shortly. You are also welcome to drop by and meet her at the store. Do you love to meet people? Do you enjoy shopping for bargains? Are you a “handy man” who enjoys making minor repairs to electronics or furniture? Please consider joining us in this exciting new venture to support Hospice Savannah! Volunteers assist in a variety of ways including sorting and tagging donations and serving customers on the sales floor. Volunteers provide coverage for a four-hour shift: either 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m or 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. We rely on them to create a warm and helpful environment and thank them for helping us to generate income to provide additional services to our patients and community. For more information, please contact our Foundation at 912.629.1055
