About Hospice Savannah, Inc.
Hospice Savannah, Inc. was born from the grassroots of the community in 1979, entirely through the efforts of volunteers, including leadership from the Georgia Medical Society. No hospice in this region has more experience than the staff and volunteers of Hospice Savannah in providing comfort and care to those dealing with life-limiting illness and providing support to their loved ones. Our aim is to assist you in living as well as possible for as long as possible.
In The Coastal Empire, Hospice Savannah, Inc. Sets The Standard For Hospice Care.
The original and only not-for-profit hospice in Savannah. No hospice in this region can provide more expertise in pain and symptom management. Not-for-profit means that shareholders are the members of our community, and that dividends take the form of educational programs, and grief and loss services for anyone, regardless of the nature of their loss.
Over 90% of our patients and families receive Hospice Savannah services in their own home. Our Medical Directors work with your physician to determine the best care at this time in your life.
Hospice Savannah has the only freestanding inpatient hospice facility in the area. Hospice House is surrounded by natural woodlands, water gardens with ponds, and beautiful landscaping. It strives to be as home-like as possible by offering 24-hour visitation (little ones and pets are welcome, too) and home-cooked meals. Hospice House helps our patients avoid draining and costly hospitalizations.
Through the work of Full Circle, a center for education and grief support, Hospice Savannah also offers the most comprehensive bereavement programs available in Southeast Georgia, including specialized support groups for children and adolescents as well as adults; Camp Aloha a community grief camp for children and community workshops . All of our bereavement programs are offered to anyone in the community, regardless of the nature of their loss. |
