Kelly Erola, M.D.
Chief Medical Director
Dr. Erola is a graduate of McMaster University Medical School in Ontario, Canada, and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa, where she received the award for the highest standing on her certification exams. As Hospice Savannah’s Chief Medical Director she oversees the hospice and palliative needs of the patients and serves as a resource in end-of-life care to the patient's primary physician and to the medical community.

Cynthia Carter, M.D.
Dr. Carter is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine in the West Indies. She completed her residence in family medicine at Memorial Health University Medical Center here in Savannah. Dr. Carter oversees the patient care needs of patients in Hospice House. Dr. Carter is also a volunteer physician for the Savannah Health Mission.
Hospice and palliative medicine is the medical discipline of the broad therapeutic model known as hospice and palliative care. This model of care is devoted to achieving the best possible quality of life for the patient and family throughout the course of a life-threatening illness through the relief of suffering and the control of symptoms. |
