BEREAVEMENT COUNSELOR
SUMMARY: Full Time Bereavement Counselor position is now available. You must have a Masters in Social Work or Counseling and at least one year of experience providing bereavement support to children as well as adults. Responsible for providing one-on-one support to children and adults in addition to conducting groups at Full Circle and in the school systems. This position is also responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of Camp Aloha. Travel is required. The position is located in the Full Circle Office Building.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires minimal lifting up to 15 lbs. Additionally there is a moderate amount of visual concentration done while reading and writing. This position is exposed to clients exhibiting a wide range of emotions. Position does not require any heavy lifting or physical effort. There is a moderate risk of exposure to infectious diseases, which may require special safety precautions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position maintains a general office schedule 8:30 a.m. – 5:00, Monday through Friday. There will be required after hour work to meet the needs of the bereavement program as well as required attendance at meetings. This may adjust the normal workday hours frequently. This position requires travel throughout Hospice Savannah’s eight county service area as well as between the Full Circle and Hospice Savannah’s other offices.
