Laura Farless, MD

Medical Director of the Steward Center for Palliative Care

Dr. Farless works with your primary care doctor and/or specialists to provide an extra level of support if you are dealing with symptoms of  a serious and progressive disease and  are not ready for hospice care.

She completed her Internal Medicine residency training and Palliative Medicine fellowship at The University of Alabama Birmingham. She served on faulty at UAB as an assistant professor with the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Care before moving to Savannah. She now has a decade of experience in Palliative Care and Internal Medicine, maintaining dual board certifications in each of these fields. She has been with Hospice Savannah and The Steward Center since 2013.

Dr. Farless  is a board member for the Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology and is an assistant professor for the Medical College of Georgia and Mercer University College of Medicine. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and was honored by the Georgia Medical Society as a Healthcare Hero in 2016
