Caregiving Skills 101 at Lewis Cancer Research Pavillion

This class will be held at the Lewis Cancer Research Pavillion (225 Candler Dr., Savannah)

in the 2nd floor conference room.


A two-part class designed to introduce caregivers to:
Advance Care Planning (30 mins)

Learn about the importance of completing an Advance Directive and POLST (Physician Order for Life-Sustaining Treatment) form.

Practical Caregiving Skills (75 mins)

Learn the core physical techniques of caregiving such as how to safely assist, perform personal care, and improve mobility for your care recipient in this hands-on session. Lead by Kathy Schaefer, Director of Clinical Education and Assistant Professor at GA Southern Armstrong campus.
