One-day camp for children affected by violent death

10.14.2017 @ 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

The death of a friend or family member can sometimes make coping difficult, but a multitude of other issues and emotions is added to the mix when the death was caused by violence. Hospice Savannah’s Full Circle will hold a one-day camp for kids, ages 6 – 17, whose loved ones or friends died by gun violence, on Saturday, October 14, from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Trained volunteers and professionals will provide therapeutic activities to teach the children lifelong coping skills and ways to process their experience. Snacks will be included. The Camp will be held at Full Circle Grief & Loss Center located in The Demere Center for Living at 6000 Business Center Drive off Chatham Parkway in Savannah.

Help is offered at no charge as a community service of not for profit Hospice Savannah, Inc. To register your child, or for more information, call bereavement counselor, Barbara Moss, at 912.629.1089.
