Restorative Yoga Online via Zoom

To participate with our on-line ZOOM class: CLICK HERE TO REGISTER. The ZOOM link will be emailed the Wednesday evening prior to Thursday morning’s class.
Restorative Yoga utilizes a variety of props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks to support the body and allow the breath to move freely, encouraging the muscles to relax the mind to quiet. Within a short time, this practice encourages you to become submerged in a deeply relaxed state and drop into the silent space within.

Covid-19 has required us to adapt our daily and weekly routines as we maintain social distancing and “shelter in place” order for our community. In as such, we are offering Restorative Yoga Live as a way to maintain a sense of routine, connectivity with yourself and others and, more importantly, calming the mind and stilling the body’s energy.
Restorative Yoga Live will be hosted as a Zoom online meeting.
You will need some basic equipment:
Internet connectivity with on a tablet, desktop or laptop with built-in camera and audio microphone and speaker. Your mobile device will work if it has internet connectivity and you can install the Zoom app. Simply click on the link provided in the e-mail sent to take you directly to our restorative yoga room!
Yoga Props – Think what you have at home…
- Yoga Mat (blanket, carpeted floor) to lay out in a quiet setting
- Chair (sturdy, like a dining room chair)
- Blankets, towels (to cover you or be rolled up)
- Pillows or bolster (medium to large size)
- Blocks (books, large can goods, something sturdy)
- Eye towel (washcloth)
Ideal for this class is music found on Insight Timer, it’s a free meditation app, which happens to have mindful music. Download the app: “Insight Timer”. Once downloaded, search for the song, “Radiant Heart” by Jim Oliver (61 minutes long). If everyone does this, then the class will have a soundtrack that everyone is hearing at approximately the same time.
