YOGA and DEMENTIA LIVE BENEFIT for EDEL CAREGIVER INSTITUTE

This October our friends at Savannah Power Yoga (SPY) are hosting a series of events throughout the community to help raise funds in support of the Edel Caregiver Institute (ECI).

On Saturday, October 15th, SPY and the Frank G. Murray Community Center on Wilmington Island host two Spry Mind+Body chair and mat-based yoga classes. ECI will be facilitating the Dementia Live® experience, an interactive, hands-on dementia simulation designed to educate and enlighten caregivers with a deeper understanding and greater empathy for their loved one living with dementia. Caregivers will be empowered with new tools and techniques to improve communications, care processes and tips to make dementia friendly changes to your home.
