Jill Costello, M.A.

Jill Costello is the Progam Coordinator for the Edel Caregiver Institute. She holds a B.F.A from the Savannah College of Art and Design, as well as a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Trevecca University in Nashville, TN. While earning her M.A. Jill served her internship with HCA TriStar Madison Campus mental health facility in Madison, TN and volunteered with Alive Hospice in Nashville.

Jill’s counseling experience includes working with domestic violence survivors, grief and loss, and facilitating support groups focused on both general caregiving and specifically caring for a person living with dementia. Jill is a certified Dementia Consultant and Trainer through Teepa Snow’s “Positive Approach to Care ®”, and certified dementia caregiver coach through the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving. Originally a volunteer for Hospice Savannah, she has been with the Edel Caregiver Institute since it opened and currently facilitates Caregiver Support Groups as well as providing one-on-one caregiver consultations and dementia coaching.

Let Jill help you by providing both individual consultations and support groups, caregiving classes, and/or referrals to community resources. The Edel Employee Assistance Program offers up to four face-to-face sessions per incident.  Phone sessions are available upon request. Back to home page.

 

Services are available for employees and immediate family members. All counseling services are completely confidential. There is no need for you to tell anyone, ask permission, or go through Human Resources to find help. Confidentiality in the EAP will be maintained within the rules established by federal and state law and professional ethical standards. Disclosure of information shared by the employee to any source without the prior written consent of that employee is prohibited. This means that the fact that an employee has consulted with EAP, as well the details of the conversation, are usually protected against disclosure.
