Research shows that caregivers want to look after their loved ones in the comfort of their own homes during the end of life. If they can manage, they don’t want them to be in a hospital, a nursing home or even in a Hospice Inpatient Unit (HIPU).
While we are blessed and proud to be the only hospice in our community to offer the support of a free standing, homelike Hospice Inpatient Unit (HIPU), we realize the public is sometimes confused and may think that it’s the only place where we can deliver our care. Actually, most of our care is delivered right in people’s homes throughout the five counties that we serve.
