Scout-and-Moxie-013As I am working in my office and making dates and plans for the future, I notice that it’s about time to start shopping for a new calendar.  Luckily our Pet Peace of Mind © program is launching its 2015 Pet calendar this week!

The calendar features many of our very own patients and families who have been impacted by this outstanding program accompanied by the beautiful photographs from our beloved volunteer, retired orthopedic surgeon Les Wilkes. The calendar also features cute stories from the perspective of the animals we help.

If, like me, you are already making plans for 2015, these calendars are available for a minimum donation of $15. All proceeds go to help and support the animals with pet food and cat litter; pet walking; routine veterinary care and grooming; transportation; foster care; and assistance with finding a “forever home” if the family cannot keep the pet after the patient’s death.

In the photo featured is the sweetest kitten, Moxie. Moxie and her littermates were born when their owner was very sick. The Pet Peace of Mind© program helped find Moxie and her littermates new homes. Moxie is now the playful companion of Leslie, one of our nurse managers. You can find the story of Moxie and all of our many animals the program has helped in the 2015 Pet calendar.

Pick one up during regular business hours from the reception desk at Hospice Inpatient Unit (HIPU), 1329 Eisenhower Drive, from the reception desk of our administrative offices at 1674 Chatham Parkway, or from Case Veterinary Hospital at 111 Eisenhower Drive.
