As we enter into the Labor Day weekend I’d like to again express my appreciation to our staff and volunteers for the wonderful work they do. A recent phone call I received reminded me just how precious and important that work is.
Mrs. T. first wanted to thank me for the Veteran Certificate she had received in the mail. Despite her husband being under our care for only one day, she is requesting memorial donations be sent to Hospice Savannah. She wished she had been able to receive services earlier (we had been contacted back in the fall of last year, however her children were not ready for “hospice’). So even though he was only with us for one day and was in a hospice bed in the hospital, we were able to provide comfort to him, his wife and their children.
Our work matters.
